Employees engaged in agricultural work and research are potentially exposed to a variety of safety and health hazards. A number of these hazards can be controlled by an Accident Prevention Program, Work-Specific Safety and Health Programs, and using EH&S Safety and Health Services and Resources.
In addition to the above programs, resources and services, agricultural workers and researchers need to evaluate safety considerations unique to their industry, such as agricultural equipment (e.g., tractors, rollover protective structures, power take offs) and pesticides.
The information and resources listed are provided to assist departments in identifying and controlling agricultural safety and health hazards.
