Washington State University
Environmental Health & Safety CPR/AED/First Aid Certification

Hybrid Online and Classroom Instruction

Employees

Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) offers a comprehensive adult CPR, AED, and first aid training program tailored specifically for WSU employees. Our program is designed to meet the requirements of OSHA and Division of Occupational Safety and Health/Labor and Industries, ensuring that employees are trained to respond to and care for medical emergencies in the workplace.

We encourage departmental groups to enroll in our training program, as it provides a great opportunity to discuss safety, AED use and placement, first aid kits, and other topics that are specific to your work environment.

Upon completion of our training program, you will receive a certification that is valid for 2 years.

Fee: $50 per employee

Format:  Our training program is structured in two parts. The first part consists of online self-paced modules that take approximately 3-4 hours to complete. The second part is a classroom instructed review and skills verification session that takes 1 hour. Our instructors are flexible and can arrange to conduct the skills verification session at a campus location convenient for you.

Students

Please note that EH&S does not accept students (student employees are accepted) or community members into our training classes. However, we recommend certification options provided by University Recreation and area fire departments.
