The Emergency Planning/Community Right-to-Know Act
The Emergency Planning/Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) was established by Congress to insure that local citizens and emergency responders are aware of certain hazardous materials that are used in their community. WSU EH&S inventories select hazardous materials and prepares emergency response plans to prevent, prepare for, and respond to accidental releases. These inventories are made available to State and local emergency response agencies.
