Swimming Pools and Spas
EH&S provides the following services:
EH&S monitors the operations, maintenance and water quality of the swimming pools at the Pullman campus to ensure they comply with all state and University requirements.
- Inspects all swimming pools and spas on a yearly basis, and assists the Whitman County Department of Health in issuing operating permits for each facility.
- Investigates complaints and conducts sanitary surveys of the swimming pools and spas.
- Reviews plans and specifications for new construction and remodels.
- Assists other departments, such as Facilities Operations and University Recreation, in meeting new regulatory requirements.

Refer all concerns, complaints, or suspected illnesses from swimming pools or spas to EH&S and University Recreation for prompt investigation. During regular working hours call 509-335-3041. During the evening or weekends contact the Facilities Operations dispatcher at 509-335-9000. For emergencies, call 911.
