Environmental Health & Safety Chemical Recycling

Complete Listing of Available Chemicals

Chemicals listed on this page are surplus reagents from campus laboratories. Chemicals are available for redistribution to WSU-Pullman faculty and staff without cost on a first-come first-served basis. EH&S will deliver the requested chemicals.

To be eligible for recycling, chemicals must be unused and in their original, sealed containers. They may be submitted using the normal waste reporting process. Chemicals not acceptable for recycling include any air or water reactive compounds, peroxide forming compounds such as dioxane, tetrahydrofuran, and light ethers; organic peroxides, and picric acid. For more detailed information see “Chemical Waste Disposal

To request any chemical on this list, send an e-mail message to EH&S, including your name, the chemical(s) and quantity that you are requesting, and the lab to which you want the container(s) delivered. EH&S will make deliveries during weekly collections.

If you cannot send an e-mail, you may make requests by phone at 5-3041. Please include in your request all of the information listed above.
