Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities Operations, and Principal Investigators worked together to develop procedures to enhance communication prior to maintenance or construction work being performed in laboratories. 

These procedures, located in Appendix N of the Laboratory Safety Manual, and a completed Maintenance/Construction Permit (a blank permit can be found in Appendix O) communicate the decontamination status of laboratory equipment, dates of the work, and methods to protect employees and research during maintenance or construction work in your laboratory.
