EH&S Capital Services (Capital Services) monitors Major and Minor Capital projects for WSU properties and ensures that health, safety, and environmental issues are addressed before projects begin and during construction. 

Capital Services also consults with departments across campus and prioritizes and submits Minor Capital Safety project recommendations to Facilities Operations.  Facilities Operations coordinates with Capital Planning and Development (CPD) for project design and construction.  Projects are completed either as Facilities Operation shop projects or as Public Works projects.

A departmental official who knows of a health or safety hazard that may be corrected through facility construction may submit information about the Proposed Health and Safety Project at this link.

Capital Services also oversees the Asbestos Management and Lead Management Programs on campus, including evaluation of inspection, abatement, and waste management plans associated with those programs.
